The Hangover Hash and Spiced French Toast from Chambers Eat & Drink in SF. While this place is in a pretty sketchy area (Tenderloin), the food was pretty good! They also have an outside patio situated next to a pool! It’s kind of weird because the restaurant is attached to the Phoenix Hotel, which kind of looks like a run of the mill motel, and not many places in the city have pools. Oh well, the food was good and that’s all that matters! The cool part about my dish is that it came with a delicious aioli that the server said had something added to it so it would maintain a round shape with a casing. After popping the casing, the aioli came spilling out and was delicious with my hash!
The hash was: dry aged short rib pastrami, red bliss potato, cabbage, giardiniera, horseradish, rye toast, and 2 eggs sunny side up. My friends and I also shared a sweet treat: Spiced French Toast! The french toast had pear compote, vanilla whipped cream, and bourbon syrup, and it was pretty delicious!
Overall, this place was was decently priced and the service was good so I would give Chambers a 4 out of 5 stars. It’s worth going back to again and their mimosas aren’t too shabby either!
