This breakfast calzone from Two Fish Bakery in SOMA, SF gave me life. This bakery has seriously some of the most delicious baked goods I’ve had before, but I was disappointed in the other foods they served until now. This calzone has spicy sausage, cheese, and egg and comes piping hot from their oven!

Pumpkin ice cream! I’ve been using Alton Brown’s ice cream recipe as a base for all the ice cream I’ve made so far and you can find the recipe here (X). For this one, I used cereal milk from Momofuku in the place of regular milk that the recipe calls for, and then I added pumpkin pie spice and about a cup of pumpkin puree while the ice cream was churning. The final result is pretty sweet but tastes almost like pumpkin pie!

The Ox Tail dish from B Star in Inner Richmond, SF! This dish consisted of natural tender oxtail, shiitake mushrooms and gai lan over mashed potatoes. The meat was seriously tender and melted in my mouth, and really the whole dish was so good! I ate the whole thing and wish I could have gotten more. B Star gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars from me!
